JCPS Leadership 2026

As the Director of Career and Technical Education for Johnston County Public Schools, Reno brings experience as a CTE student, teacher, state administrator, career development coordinator, and district leader. He holds degrees from Johnson & Wales University and Virginia Tech and has built his career around expanding high-quality CTE programs that connect students to credentials, work-based learning, and meaningful career pathways. A committed advocate for the field, Reno has served in leadership roles with FCCLA, LEADFCS, the North Carolina Association of Family and Consumer Sciences, and statewide CTE advisory groups. He is also co-author of Counseling and Mental Health Services and was named the 2026 North Carolina CTE Administrator of the Year by NCACTE. Reno believes deeply in the power of CTE to help every student graduate plan for the future and the knowledge, skills, and behaviors to make it a reality.
