About me
Leanne Daughtry is the Director of K-12 Math and Science Curriculum in Johnston County Public Schools. Over the course of her 27 years in education, she has been a second and fourth grade teacher, worked with the district’s AIG program, was an elementary math consultant at NCDPI and has held various district curriculum roles. Leanne is passionate about helping teachers and creating powerful learning experiences for students.
Leanne has led professional development sessions for the National Council of Supervisors of Mathematics, the North Carolina Council of Teachers of Mathematics, the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction, the North Carolina Collaborative for Mathematics Learning, Tools for NC Teachers, various NC school districts, the NCSSA Aspiring Superintendents, Partners for Mathematics Learning, and the Meredith College Math and Science Institute. She currently serves as the Elementary State Vice President for the North Carolina Council of Teachers of Mathematics and was named JCPS Curriculum, Instruction, and Accountability Employee of the Year in 2019-2020 and again in 2022-2023.
