About me
My name is Maritza Rosado Ortiz, and I'm the proud principal of Selma Elementary School. I consider Selma my second home. I also consider myself very fortunate to have the privilege to serve the Selma community alongside the hardest-working and dedicated educators in Johnston County. I have been an educator for 26 years--22 of which have been in North Carolina. I completed a Bachelor of Education and Technology in my native Puerto Rico and also hold two master's degrees: one in education and a second in school administration from North Carolina State University. I worked as a regular education teacher, ESL teacher, and curriculum specialist. I have two wonderful boys. My oldest son is a HS assistant principal, and my youngest is an IT guy. Both make me feel very proud. I love this journey and serving the Selma community.
